Designed and implemented a Jenkins pipeline from scratch to automate the build, test, and deployment of a multi-service application running on Docker. The pipeline pulls code from GitHub, runs unit tests, builds Docker images, pushes to ECR, and deploys to the target environment — replacing a fully manual release process that previously took the team half a day. Wrote the Jenkinsfile in Groovy with parameterised builds so the team could deploy to staging or production without touching the server.
At RunMedia, set up and maintained the AWS infrastructure for a school management SaaS used by multiple institutions. Created VPCs with public and private subnets, launched EC2 instances behind a load balancer, configured S3 buckets for document storage with lifecycle policies, and managed IAM roles to enforce least-privilege access across the team.
Personal learning project to get hands-on with Docker beyond just running images. Took an existing Node.js + MySQL application, wrote a multi-stage Dockerfile to keep the image lean, wired it up with Docker Compose alongside a MySQL container and an Nginx reverse proxy. Documented the setup so it could be spun up on any machine with a single command.
Built a Terraform configuration to provision a repeatable AWS environment — VPC, subnets, security groups, an EC2 instance, and an S3 bucket with versioning. Used variables and output blocks to make it reusable across environments. The goal was to stop clicking around the AWS console and have infrastructure defined in code that could be versioned in Git.
Set up CloudWatch dashboards and alarms for EC2 instances at Unicodez — tracking CPU, memory (via custom metrics with the CloudWatch agent), disk usage, and ALB request counts. Configured SNS to send email alerts when thresholds were breached, giving the team visibility into issues before users reported them.
